Knowing the truth

Lets be humble enough to acknowledge not knowing everything, unlike the frequent mystical claims to have discovered truth and everything through “an experience”. As I said before an experience is very qualitative, subjective and truth cannot be deduced from mere experience alone.

We need to expand what “religion” stands for, this word should grow out of its metaphysical and supernatural origins, and should represent the way an individual looks at and behaves in his environment.

From my perspective, finding the truth is a means to explain why things are the way they are. In the context of the physical environment  its to keep progressing into the depths of our understanding of laws of nature .In the context of human consciousness it the endeavor to find a solution so as to create a society where everyone (all life) is happy.Happiness requires a myriad of ingredients, unhappiness included.

Since we have evolved from this universe, to survive in the same, the process of evolution will equip us to understand the truth.It may not be us, but someone else, some other species could already have.

Incomplete Thoughts on Cosmogony

There was a beginning to this known universe, like how a seed sprouts in the right environment.The new sprout begins its life towards a pre determined goal, to be possibly alive, to reproduce and to wither away and die.But its just the environment that contributes to how the sprout grows, how many leaves it will have, how tall it gets and so on.Yes it does have leaves, probably its flower is blue, thats the natural laws within the seed.Probably the existence of our universe could be summarized so, a seed originated from nothing , that being an intrinsic property of nothingness, and with the arrow of time,evolution in all its cosmic and biological glory worked out the details, like the leaves that grew from the sprout, nebulas, stars, comets, asteroids, galaxies , planets and all sort of life originated .The seed represents those basic initial laws from which every other possible variation emerges(quantum fields, weak , string forces, gravity, electromagnetic forces etc), not a deliberate sentient
force.If there is a sentient force behind, its motive is not humans or any life, thats a plausible hypothesis.
Leaves will wither away, new seeds will be generated and our sprout will one day die, our universe will one day cease to exist, for a similar beginning and end to play out may be differently this time. Who knows such beginnings and endings happen all the time, may be there is a beginning happening right now somewhere in the multiverse.
What I meant by intrinsic property is that by nature, an absolute nothingness leads to something to be created. Its something we yet don’t understand about the nature of nothingness. I think Lawrence Krauss’s theory of universe from nothing is what I am referring to.Probably it appears is a fact, why so is the mystery. The why part I tried to capture as “intrinsic” for now.
Probably absolute nothingness is a state of equilibrium that is ultimately reached when everything that is manifest cancels out, matter, space ,time and all forms of energy included.Once that state is reached , entropy kicks in and at a particular threshold a new universe may sometimes begin.

About GOD

One day I took the courage to realize that God is not supernatural. An omnipresent, omniscient, benevolent  GOD could not exist in this world, where we are in constant struggle for survival against nature, evils of our own creation and our mind. We and our universe are nothing but a product of cosmic chance and evolution.Although such a realization helped me appreciate nature, society and life more,it also made me lost and helpless, a feeling of lost ground. This made me ask what is GOD? Why do we need GOD?

       We have always struggled through ages to make sense of our world. We seek to find order in chaos, explain the unknown and the concept of GOD is an effort in that direction. Looking back into anthropological history we can see how GOD has evolved over time, to address the unknowns of that era. I feel GOD is one solution to a problem,But what is the problem?

       Life is not an easy game, and we need a strong sail to get past the turbulence, the unknown still scares us, we are by nature anxious about the future and our well being.The faith in GOD helps us in coming to terms with life, may be because of our conditioning.Again it brings in a certain order to chaos and knowledge into the unknown.We feel comforted by a personal benefactor always hearing and protecting ,working in magical ways.

        Why not look at GOD from a different perspective? Why not redefine GOD? Why can’t GOD be a concept that is symbolized? Concepts of Positive thinking, living the moment, compassion, love, nature, family, friends and all life around us. Such a GOD is not supernatural and is as real as the feeling of being alive.

The story about the purpose of existence

That huge faraway tree was home to many, many a birds, squirrels, rodents , serpents and everything everywhere. Mickey loved that tree because it was everything for him food , shelter and his companion. Like any other cat he thought a lot about life, why am I here? what is my purpose? what would happen to him after he died? And every time when he contemplated and as the sun shown through the numerous branches of the faraway tree, he felt the tree held the wisdom and the answers to all his questions.He often tried to talk to the tree, but the tree would never even acknowledge to have listened to him..”Maybe I am asking something very mundane” would think Mickey. But Mickey loved the faraway tree, his mom had taught him that the faraway tree answered prayers and that it had supernatural powers.He still remembers the story of the how the tree got rid of the ten headed serpent which had spread mayhem all around and how the tree had made it cease to exist.Also of how the grey owl had spoken to the tree to receive the revelation that it should every night sit on the right most branch to the north star and coo for harmony.
But one afternoon as if in a dream, the faraway tree whispered..
“Life is so my dear and we are here, you should create the meaning, I was once a seedling I grow standing the hardships and gaining the nourishment of nature, and now you ask your purpose to me..whome could I have asked?, and what answer my own life can give you as the purpose of life.

Other than how you can visibly see me,communicate and feel me , what is my purpose ?If your mom had not taught you that story about my powers would you still believe in me? Would you still ask me about the purpose of life?

Love me because everything that you are is me, all that you will ever be is me, its a journey together to learn and to unlearn, to discover, to make mistakes and one to make this existance the happiest place ..the abode of compassion , of freedom, of liberty.And you are the most supernatural force that i have with me.

It was dusk..the birds had come to rest and Mickey woke up to the night.

“Of course my dear I don’t exist exist beyond the contours of our minds” thus spoke the tree

A Hypothesis on the nature of God

The problem lies not with the belief or non belief in god but the very definition of god or the way the concept of god is perceived. The definition of god should be scientific and that would put to rest the debate over theism . God should be perceived ,seen and defined as the collective universal consciousness that decides the course of our universe every passing moment. We are all like plants sprung into existence from the broken branches of the parent plant, we are one but we are unique and different. God is that universal consciousness including the natural laws and the collective consciousness of all sentinal beings which gives birth to the next moment of existence.

Of course this definition is a hypothesis and needs to be proven ,but to a great extent we know that the environment ,the people ,the society and its culture all of these have an effect on how the next moment materialises. Based on this hypothesis the concept of a monotheist god in such a universe of diversity is also not correct, probably this monotheist god concept would hold good in a fully globalised world some time in the future. Also talking of consciousness the most important in all is one's own consciousness, which needs to learn the art of harmonious existence.

Also the moment to be lived is not the past which is a memory and not the future which is a projection of would happen but that moment is now. This is the most important truth we should never forget how ever much we contemplate and philosophize existence.
